Originally from Cheltenham, the late Lucy Barnard studied illustration in Exeter before moving to London to work in publishing. After joining Advocate Art as a freelance artist and illustrating many books for other authors, Lucy fulfilled her dream of writing her own children’s book in 2013 with Squirrel’s Busy Day. She wrote and illustrated many other stories and has also written for other illustrators. Lucy left a huge legacy in the children’s publishing world and used her incredible talent to author and illustrate over 200 books. We continue to represent Lucy’s legacy and are proud to have a selection of titles available from her estate.
